Go Beyond Any Limitation and
Create Equestrian Synergy Now!

Nan Martin Equestrian Services was born out of the desire to train and coach horses and riders using a wholistic approach where a synergistic partnership is created.

What is Synergy?

Synergy is the interaction of two or more individuals that when combined is GREATER THAN the sum of their individual effects. So when the horse and rider come together in this manner than the result is brilliance and one is sure to be a winner in any riding discipline or capacity.

When there is synergy between horse and rider everything does not have to be PERFECT or in TOTAL BALANCE to obtain the results we seek.

Why?

Because the partnership over rides the small inadequacies or imperfections. Most often, a synergistic relationship is one that can go beyond limitations and excels in the sport. This is why the ultimate riding goal should be to create SYNERGY between the horse and the rider.

How do we Create Synergy?

Synergy is obtained through evaluating and establishing four factors: Commitment, Connection; Harmony and Education (CCHE) in a wholistic manner.

The first factor is commitment. One needs to commit to a certain degree of training and education to be able to achieve established goals regardless of the level of the horse or rider.

What is a Wholistic Approach?

It is evaluating all the aspects of horse training, riding, feeding, etc in a whole way. I systematically evaluate all parameters that affect the horse and rider partnership so I can establish a plan to bring synergy back to the partnership.

Why Use a Wholistic Approach?

Because not everything is TRAINING related! And not everything is the fault of the RIDER or the HORSE!

For example, if the horse is not getting fed correctly than he may not have enough energy to perform. Or he may have too much energy to be workable and focused during training! And the same applies to the rider – your brain needs food and water to be able to concentrate and assimilate new ideas during your lessons!

What is Evaluated?

Parameters are broken into categories such as environmental, mental, physical, spiritual, financial and emotional for both horse and rider. Everything is evaluated from the feed to the feet; from the ring footing to the fit of the saddle.

How is Synergy Re-Established?

I use traditional, complementary and alternative methods to bring harmony and connection back to the partnership. Bringing emotional and physical harmony to a relationship using essential oils is my specialty.

For example, I recommended an essential oil to one student to help release job related stress on the way to the barn so the horse wasn’t stressing over his stress! Horses are sensitive to our emotions; and it can affect the training very easily!

What are the Benefits of the Equestrian Synergy System?

Here are just a few benefits to consider:

• Happier and healthier equines and riders at the barn and in life;

• Properly matched horses and riders;

• Saved time and money on training, coaching, supplements, etc;

• Sustained and maintained success; and

• Wholistic horsemen and women who have the education behind their riding and horsemanship skills.

What are some Examples of Synergistic Equine Partners?

Here are some examples of some magnificent horse and rider teams where Synergy was created to form winning results!

• McLain Ward and Sapphire;

• Carol Lavelle and Gifted; and

• Ron Turcotte and Secretariat.

You see...

I have seen numerous horses in my lifetime EXCEED their limitations just because they had the correctly matched rider on their back. I have seen countless riders EXCEED their riding goals because they were matched with the correct equine partner. And the reason – Equestrian Synergy!

My hope is that my website can be part of the solution when looking for new and traditional ways to train and sell horses, provide health care, set riding goals and more.
